As emerging leaders within a large industrial business located in Southeastern Wisconsin we built a particularly useful skill set for tackling tricky operating problems but have also experienced the unfortunate realities of getting things done inside of a large business. These experiences ignited a fire in us to roll-up our sleeves, take a risk, and find our own business to acquire, run, and grow over a medium to long term investment horizon... using 80/20 to guide the process.
That search ended when our deals with our top prospect fizzled and another door opened. We were tapped to help a major private equity group stand up a cross-portfolio practice to teach leaders how to focus and grow their businesses with 80/20. In three years, we have created billions in value by empowering businesses to use data and focus to operate and lead their teams. We believe this approach has tremendous applicability in the SME space.
Primarily, we seek situations where an entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA) searcher is looking for both capital and operating support. Secondarily, we may consider buying an operating a business that meets our investmest criteria.
